Acid Washes
Remove built-up staining, calcium deposits and algae from your pool's plaster and bring the bright, clean surface back.
Where the stains and scale come from
Plaster tells the story of every season it has been through. Minerals in hard water leave calcium deposits as the water evaporates in the Arizona sun. Algae that was never fully cleared leaves its mark in the surface, and stains settle in wherever debris sat long enough to leave a shadow.
Brushing and balanced chemistry keep new buildup from forming, but they do not always lift what has already set into the plaster. When the surface looks dull, blotchy or rough under your hand, an acid wash is the job that goes after it.

How an acid wash brings the plaster back
An acid wash takes off a thin layer of the surface, and with it the staining, scale and algae that have bonded there. The pool is drained, the plaster is washed, and what comes up underneath is a cleaner, brighter finish than the pool has shown in years.
The work does not stop when the wash is done. The pool is refilled and the water is rebalanced so the fresh plaster starts out on the right footing, which is where Clark's weekly chemistry checks pick up. Customers across Litchfield Park, Goodyear and Peoria ask for this one when the pool they remember is hiding under a gray film.
When an acid wash is the wrong fix
Not every tired pool needs one. If the problem sits on the tile line, a tile cleaning is the right tool. If the plaster itself is worn through, cracked or flaking, washing it only exposes a surface that is ready to be redone, and Clark will tell you so rather than sell you a wash that will not last.
