Honest advice before you tear anything out

Planning a pool renovation? Straight advice on replastering, retiling, decking and equipment upgrades from a pool company that has served the West Valley since 2001.

What a pool remodel really covers

A renovation is usually four decisions bundled together: the plaster, the tile, the deck and the equipment. They age at different speeds. Plaster roughens and stains, waterline tile collects scale, decking cracks in the sun and pumps and heaters wear out on their own schedule.

Clark advises on all four, so you can see which ones are due now and which can wait without costing you more later.

How the conversation goes

Start by calling or texting Clark. He has been servicing West Valley pools since 2001, so he has seen how plaster, tile and equipment hold up in Litchfield Park heat, and he looks at your pool as it is rather than selling a package.

You get a plain answer about what the pool needs, what is cosmetic and what is a real problem, in words that make sense if you have never remodeled a pool before.

Condition first, then the plan

Before spending on a full renovation it is worth asking what a smaller fix would buy. A pool with scaled tile may only need tile cleaning, and a stained surface may respond to an acid wash well enough to push the replaster back.

When the equipment is the weak point, the question becomes repair or replace. That one has its own answer, and Clark, licensed under ROC # 367376, will give it to you straight. Call or text (602) 316-3671 to get started.
