What Actually Happens on a Weekly Pool Visit in the West Valley
Four steps, one technician, and a photo of your pool in your inbox when we leave.

If you have never had a pool service, or you have had one that left you guessing, it helps to know what a good weekly visit looks like. This is how it goes for homes in Litchfield Park, Goodyear, Buckeye and the rest of the West Valley when Phoenician Pool Spa Patio pulls up to your gate. Four steps, every week, the same way.
Step one: Inspect
Before a brush touches the water, we look. Equipment, water level, water chemistry and the overall condition of the pool all get checked on every visit. That order matters. A pump that sounds rough or a water line that has dropped since last week tells us something about your pool, and it is much cheaper to hear about it on a Tuesday than after the pump quits on a Saturday afternoon in July.
The inspection is also where a regular technician pays off. Your pool in Surprise or Peoria has its own habits: a tree that drops leaves into one corner, a skimmer that clogs first, a pump pad that sits in full sun all afternoon. When the same person sees it on the same day every week, a small change stands out. Someone seeing your pool for the first time would miss it.
Step two: Clean and balance
Now the physical work. We skim the surface, brush the walls and steps, vacuum when the pool needs it and empty the baskets. Brushing is the part homeowners tend to underestimate. Algae clings to plaster and steps long before you can see it, and a brush breaks it loose so the chemistry and the filter can deal with it. Baskets matter for a quieter reason: a full basket chokes the flow, and a pump that is starved of water works harder for no benefit.
Then we test the water and add what your pool needs that week. Not a standard scoop for every pool on the route. Heat, swimmers, a dust storm or a stretch of cloudy days all change what the water asks for, so the dosing changes too. Standard chemicals for routine balancing are part of your monthly price.
Step three: Photo report
When we finish, you get a photo of your pool and a service summary with the chemical readings. It takes the guesswork out of weeks when you are at work, traveling, or just not looking out the back window. You can see the pool is clear without walking outside, and you can see what we found.
The reports also add up to a record. If the water ever turns on you, or you are weighing a repair, you can scroll back and see how the pool looked and tested over the past few weeks. That history makes for a better conversation than anyone's memory of what the water looked like last month.
Step four: Enjoy your pool
This is the point of the whole thing. You swim in clean water all week without keeping a test kit in the garage or wondering whether it is a good day to add something. If a question comes up between visits, Clark is a phone call or text away.
What weekly service includes
Here is the full list of what happens at a standard weekly visit:
- Testing and balancing the water chemistry
- Skimming the surface
- Brushing the pool walls and steps
- Vacuuming as needed
- Emptying the baskets
- Checking the water level
- Inspecting the pool equipment for potential problems
- A photo and service report with your chemical readings after the visit
Weekly service starts at $115 per month for a standard residential pool. Your exact price depends on the size and condition of the pool, its equipment and any additional maintenance it needs. Routine chemicals are included. Specialty treatments or chemicals needed to correct an unusual condition, such as a green pool, may cost extra, and we tell you before adding any extra cost. You should never find a surprise on a bill.
When a pool needs more than a visit
Sometimes the inspection finds something a brush cannot fix: a pump that is struggling, a valve that sticks, a filter that is loaded up, a small plumbing leak. We diagnose and repair pumps, motors, filters, valves and plumbing, and in many cases we can address the problem during the same visit. You can read more on our pool repairs page at our Pool Repairs page.
